How credits work
Credits are PaperAI's usage currency. Every document conversion consumes credits based on the page count and the AI model you choose:
Credit cost = page count × model credit multiplierStandard models cost fewer credits per page, while premium models cost more. The exact cost is shown before every conversion so there are no surprises.
Monthly credit allowances
Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance that resets on your billing cycle date:
- Starter: 100 credits/month
- Pro: 1,000 credits/month
- Business: 3,000 credits/month
- Scale: 10,000 credits/month
Credit top-up packages
Need more credits? Purchase top-up packages anytime:

Top-up credits are added to your balance immediately and do not expire at the end of the billing cycle.
Managing your subscription
Navigate to Organization Settings → Subscription to:
- View your current plan and billing cycle
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- Switch between monthly and yearly billing
- View invoice history
Viewing credit usage
Navigate to Organization Settings → Credits to:
- See your current credit balance
- View credit transaction history
- Purchase top-up packages
