Processing Settings

Overview

Processing settings let admins define organization-wide defaults for document conversion. These defaults apply when a user runs a manual conversion without selecting a Flow. Flow-specific settings always take precedence over organization defaults.

Access processing settings from Organization Settings → Processing (admin-only tab).

Conversion defaults

Default AI model

Select the AI model that is pre-selected for manual conversions. Models are grouped by provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral) and show their credit cost per page and tier badge.

If no default is set, users must select a model each time they convert a document.

Temperature

Controls the AI's output style on a slider from 0.0 to 1.0 (in 0.1 increments):

• Lower values (0.0–0.3) — More precise, deterministic output. Best for structured documents where accuracy matters.
• Higher values (0.4–0.7) — More variation in phrasing and formatting. Useful for documents where the AI needs to interpret unclear content.
• Very high values (0.8–1.0) — Most creative interpretation. Rarely recommended for document processing.

The default is 0.1 (highly precise).

Language

Set a default language hint to guide the AI:

• Auto-detect (default)
• English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi

When set to Auto-detect, the AI infers the document's language automatically. Setting an explicit language can improve accuracy for multilingual organizations.

Document type

Pre-select a document type for manual conversions. This helps the AI tailor its processing to the expected structure (e.g., invoices, contracts, reports).

Auto-approve defaults

Configure automatic approval for documents processed without a Flow:

• Enable/disable toggle — When enabled, documents meeting the confidence threshold skip manual review.
• Minimum confidence slider — Set the threshold from 50% to 100% (in 5% increments). Documents scoring above this threshold are auto-approved. Default is 85%.

Output defaults

Default target folder

Choose a folder where newly converted documents are saved by default. If no folder is selected, documents appear in the root of your file manager.

Settings priority

When processing a document, settings are resolved in this order (highest priority first):

1. Per-conversion overrides — Settings chosen directly in the Converter UI.
2. Flow settings — If a Flow is selected, its model, prompt, temperature, and auto-approve rules apply.
3. Organization defaults — The settings configured on this page.
4. System defaults — Built-in fallbacks if nothing else is configured.
